Praise and Worship Minister

Minister Micheal Thompson (known as Brother Mike) was born and raised in Panama City, FL in the community of Glenwood. He attended a local church where he received his childhood experience with God. During a youth outreach service in July of 1983, he felt the tug of the Lord on his life but ran out of the service because he was confused with what he was experiencing. After speaking with his mother, the following Sunday he was born again.  After graduating high school, Brother Mike attended Gulf Coast Community college. He spent a few years pursuing his dream to be a professional baseball player and was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies. While pursuing his dream, he was injured and eventually returned home to the community where he grew up.  Brother Mike served on the youth choir, a youth Sunday school teacher, as the youth superintendent of the Sunday school, and was ordained as a deacon.  He’s licensed in ministry, serves as both the worship and youth minister, and directs the media ministry.

He works as a Local Site Administrator and is completing his network certifications. He has four children and two grandchildren.
